She has previously worked in libraries, town planning and community development and has years of experience engaging with communities experiencing exclusion and disadvantage.

Emily Arama Sánchez - Information, Policy and Research Officer

Emily supports our research projects through quantitative and qualitative analysis, engagement, and reporting to our partners. She has a background in historical, cultural and community research. After studying the history of medicine and healthcare over the past century within the US and the UK, she conducted a research project with members of the Cuban community in London, Miami and Havana. To do this, she gathered primary and secondary sources, trained at Centric Community Research, conducted interviews with participants in English and Spanish, and explored how cultural habits and traditions related to health moved across arbitrary borders. Emily is passionate about bringing light to the concerns of communities who are not always represented.

Mary Blake - Volunteer Coordinator

Mary supports our team of volunteers. Previous roles were with Groundwork London’s volunteer Energy Champions programme, Energise London and Family Action. Earlier work was in waste prevention with Enfield Council and environmental campaigning for Greenpeace and Friends of the Earth. Mary also works part-time for the Muswell Hill Sustainability Group and volunteers for a health charity helpline.
