Haringey Advice Partnership - Supporting residents on housing, health and migration

Haringey Advice Partnership (HAP) has been supporting vulnerable residents with a variety of needs, from general information, advice and guidance to more complex cases.

HAP's work includes baby bank referrals, food bank vouchers, and help with applying for household funds and grants. HAP's work has benefited low income families, including those with 'No Recourse to Public Funds'.

Contact HAP to find out if you are eligible.

HAP is grateful to Tottenham District Charity which has offered continuous support in helping residents with grants.

Partnerships

HAP has continued to provide drop-in sessions and presentations. HAP has been able to widen its network and collaboration with organisations around the borough to better serve our community, including seldom heard groups. Partnerships have included Dalmar Heritage, supporting the Somali community, and ROJ Womens Association supporting the Turkish and Kurdish community. HAP helped with a successful Advice Day event on 17 April hosted by the Haringey Migrant Support Centre in collaboration with lead partner Citizen Advice Haringey and Vibrance.

Housing repair issues

HAP is working with Reach and Connect and Public Voice on a housing repair campaign, looking at damp and mould, and other housing issues affecting health and wellbeing.

We're thrilled to report that our joint efforts have resulted in many women successfully applying for the grant, and Household Support Fund... a testament to the effectiveness of our partnership. Looking ahead, we are keen to further strengthen our collaboration and explore avenues for future projects.
