About this event
On Thursday 28 March, Healthwatch Haringey will be running a drop-in session on the estate from 1pm to 4pm to talk to you about your experiences of local health and care services.
During this drop-in session, we will also be running free blood pressure checks.
- Why is it important to get your blood pressure checked?
High blood pressure (hypertension) can increase your risk of developing heart and respiratory conditions. - All adults over 40 years old are advised to have their blood pressure checked at least every 5 years.
- Some people from African, African-Caribbean or South Asian heritage may even have high blood pressure at a younger age and are encouraged to get their blood pressure checked earlier.
