 David Winskill shared his thoughts.

With so many pressures piling on primary care, it is important that the voices of service users and carers are heard by those that design and deliver these essential services.

Healthwatch Haringey’s Policy and research Officer Emily Arama Sánchez (pictured) set the scene by explaining what a PPG is and the obligation that surgeries have to set up and support one. David Winskill went on to outline the organisation and activities of the PPG Network and how to join while Brenda Allan, Chair of the Queenswood Practice PPG, explained how her PPG had developed its influence from pre-Covid to the present day.

The session ended with a lively Q&A session where the 30 or so attendees asked about Physician Associates, continuity of care, difficulties in getting an appointment, digital access and how to set up a PPG.
